Facey, Paul W.

(1909-1994) Roman Catholic priest of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits); Ph.D. Fordham University, 1945; sociology faculty, College of the Holy Cross, 1936-1967; President, American Catholic Sociological Society, 1964.

Facey collaborated with his Fordham mentor Nicholas Timasheff on an introductory text in 1949. In 1974, his 1945 doctoral dissertation, The Legion of Decency: A Sociological Study of the Emergence and Development of a Social Pressure Group , was reissued by Arno Press in its cinema publications program.
